Is a bookkeeping service really worth the cost?
For most small business owners, the answer is yes — and not because of the books themselves, but because of what clean books give you: accurate decisions, stress-free tax seasons, fewer costly mistakes, and hours of your time back every month. The cost of a bookkeeper is almost always less than the cost of disorganized finances.
What do I need to give you access to?
Typically: read-only access to your business bank and credit card accounts, your QuickBooks (or other accounting software), and any payroll system you use. We'll walk you through exactly what's needed during onboarding, and your data is protected by bank-level encryption at every step.
How long does onboarding take?
Most clients are fully onboarded within one to two weeks. If your books need to be cleaned up or caught up first, we'll quote that separately and complete it before regular monthly service begins.
Can you work with my existing CPA or tax preparer?
Absolutely — and most of our clients prefer it that way. We keep your books tax-ready year-round and coordinate directly with your CPA at filing time, so they get clean data and you avoid surprises.
What accounting software do you use?
We primarily work in QuickBooks Online, which is the industry standard for small business bookkeeping. If you're using something else (Xero, Wave, FreshBooks), let us know during your consultation — we can either work in your existing platform or help you migrate.
What if my books are a mess?
That's exactly what our catch-up bookkeeping service is for. Whether you're a few months behind or several years, we'll get everything reconciled and accurate before transitioning you to regular monthly service. No judgment — just a clean slate.
